rpedo test Data. Some of the recent accusations against him are connected to his web postings about protests by petitioners and his plans to commemorate human rights day in December.
Tan was kidnapped (apparently officially) by personnel in an unmarked car in Beijng and then transferred to PLA Navy custody after attempting to contact UN Human Rights officials and to hold a press conference. On December 29, an official of her district Communist Party Legal and Poiltical Affars Committee told her that the military had informed them that Tan was detained on suspicion of harming national security and so the State Security Bureau had transferred him to the custody of the PLA Navy.
Tan’s wifeDeng Shuzhen 邓淑珍 contacted Tianwang 64 to report that on January 6, the Deputy Political Commisar of the Zhanjiang Naval Base in Guangdong Province informed her that Tan was in Navy custody.
The last article is a 2007 Epoch Times report on Tan’s confinement to a PLA insane asylum in Guizhou. He was not allowed visitors. His wife nonetheless managed to sneak in by pretending to be a cleaning lady. She saw that he had been beaten badly.
